We welcome any inspection by owners during opening hours, so if you would like to visit us, please feel free to do so. No appointment is necessary.
Each dog has individual large sleeping quarters with a run attached. We can also provide larger kennels for multiple dog families or larger breeds. Non toxic beds and bedding are provided. However if you wish to bring your dog’s own bed, we are more than happy for you to do so.
Every dog who comes to stay at Khyber Kennels and Cattery will be treated as an individual and your dog’s needs are assessed on a very personal level, whatever your dog needs we will always aim to provide and exceed expectations. Cuddles, playtime, and lots of one to one contact are all free!
All dogs now get daily walks as we feel it is important for the wellbeing of the animals to get active and enjoy the one to one time with the staff, and get some great countryside air in their lungs. We believe the dogs settle better if their daily routine includes a walk and playtime.
Here at Khyber Kennels and Cattery we also offer a full grooming service in our fully equipped grooming salon, where you can have your dog returned to you smelling and looking like they have just stepped off the “dog walk”. Ask for more details when booking your dog in at reception or give us a call for additional information.
We have a variety of complete dry dog food available for your dog to enjoy, but if you would rather provide your own we are more than happy to feed your dog whatever you provide. Please advise a member of staff when booking in your feeding instructions and we will ensure this is carried out exactly how you have specified.
If your dog is on medication whilst here, then we will be happy to administer medication. We will give tablets, injections, drops and creams. Therefore there is no need to worry about a diabetic dog or other illnesses.
Whilst we aim to provide a relaxed environment for your dogs there are some very important basic rules that we must follow to ensure the safety, and health of all our animals.
A current Vaccination Certificate and/or booster card will be required for Inspection at the time of booking in. Please note we require that all dogs have also had their kennel cough vaccination.
If you are unsure please speak to your veterinary practitioner at least 14 days before boarding to discuss any concerns you may have about these vaccinations.
No dog will be accepted for boarding without a Current, Appropriate & Valid Veterinary Certificate of Vaccination, there are no exceptions.
